Methodology
We do the work
they don't want you to do.
Most vendors count on buyers not investigating. We make investigating take five minutes instead of five days.
01
Crawl the surface
We read the vendor's own pages in their own words — homepage, pricing, security, privacy, terms, sub-processors, status, about, changelog. What they publish (and what they conveniently leave out) is signal one.
- Site map + key page scrape
- Trust & security pages
- Pricing & plan transparency
- Tech & LLM provider fingerprints
02
Cross-check the world
We run structured web research across LinkedIn, Crunchbase, G2, Trustpilot, Capterra, public breach and CVE databases, and 2024–2025 press coverage. Founders, funding, incidents, customer sentiment — all factored in, all cited.
- LinkedIn company & founders
- Crunchbase funding history
- G2 / Trustpilot / Capterra reviews
- Breach, CVE & outage history
03
Score the risk
We score across seven pillars using a consistent rubric so reports stay comparable across vendors. No vibes-based 'looks fine to me'. Every claim is attributed.
- Security
- Compliance & legal
- Privacy & data handling
- Financial stability
- Operational maturity
- Reputation & track record
- AI & data-training risk
04
Generate the question bank
Based on what we found (and what's missing), we generate a tailored bank of at least ten sharp questions for your next sales call — grouped by pillar, with the answers that should reassure you and the answers that should make you walk.
- Per-category questions
- Expected good answers
- Expected red-flag answers
- Negotiation leverage points
05
Surface real alternatives
Every report ends with three genuinely competing SaaS products in the same category, each scored on security maturity, company stability, and how easy it is to leave. So you don't just learn whether this vendor is safe — you learn whether it's the right choice at all.
- 3 real competitors named
- Security maturity score
- Company stability score
- Lock-in / exit-ease score
